The weekly salad.

Every Saturday I make a big salad to eat throughout the week. By already having a salad pre-made I can make sure I actually eat salad during the week because it's so convenient. I don't have to chop lettuce or all the veggies that go on it, I just scoop some out of the bowl, add extra toppings if I'm so inclined, and chow down.

Here's this weeks salad:

It's in a stainless steel 8 qt. bowl. It has 3 different lettuces (iceburg, romaine and bibb) and chopped on top we have carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and cucumber. During the week I'll eat it like it is or add some toppings like croutons (garlic and cheese, yum!), sunflower seeds, raisins etc. I try to have a salad with every nonbreakfast meal and this makes it super easy. When I'm not digging in to my salad it has a cute cotton cloth top that I made with a fat quarter and some elastic.
